Chi Chi; SF, born 2009; FIV/Felk negative; vet checked; indoor-only. Chi Chi likes to be brushed and will sit in your lap. She loves chasing the laser light and playing with catnip cushions. She was rescued from a managed outdoor colony and is very comfortable around other cats. She is meek and submissive in her feline relationships. She has alert, survival-type observation and with those skills, she avoids being grabbed or approached quickly. She is gentle and quietly runs if other cats argue with each other. Chi Chi would do best with a loving, patient owner and other gentle cats. Quite intelligent.

Charlotte, pictured above and right, is a spayed female Tortoiseshell, born April, 2007.

Sweet purr-box Charlotte. She has a purr that fills a room.
Her story: Someone placed this cat contained in a tiny carrier in a woman's garage. The woman had adopted from our Rescue before and already had the maximum number of cats allowed so she called us to see if we could help.
Charlotte is a quiet, calm gal. She has a loud purr and starts purring with a single pet or head scratch even during the vet exam! She has beautiful green eyes and likes to be groomed. Her facial bone structure, the shape of her ears, fur length and markings looks like she has some Maine Coon in her but she does not have the extra large size of a purebred Maine Coon. She is FIV/Felk negative, up to date on shots and received a great report from the vet at her incoming exam.

"My name is Charlotte. It means petite and feminine, shy, free, artistic and has a great sense of character."

Esmeralda, SF, Black Domestic Long Hair, estimated Dob: 2004
She is front-declawed.  Esmeralda is big and beautiful. She has silver tufts between her toes and long ear tufts. She’s a nervous cat when around other cats; so she needs to be the only animal in the house. She loves attention with pets and combing purring loudly all the time. Not a lap cat but will sit next to you. This cat was brought to her vet to be euthanised. We rescued her since we felt that a healthy cat was not to be tossed away by her owners. Esmeralda requires a quiet home with no other animals and preferably no children under 8-years-old.
Esmeralda takes longer than normal to acclimate to a new environment. But it's well worth the wait! She has grown very comfortable with her foster mom and gets excited to see her coming into her room. She seeks pets and combing and prefers to sit next to you. She has a little voice that you would miss unless you are looking at her and see her mouth move.
She qualifies for our senior adoption fee of $100. Email for an application.

Heidi, Roxy, Patty, Miles, Marley and Whiskers, last six pictured, have a special adoption fee of $50 for one, $75 for two. Special thanks to Southeast Michigan freelance photographer Taylor Anderson for taking their pictures. http://andersonphotography.smugmug.com/
